In Life Christ is Your Help

“I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance.” (v19)

“I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth” (John 14:16-17)

In Life Christ is Your Focus

“It is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death.” (v20)

“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”   (Colossians 1:1-2)

In Life Christ is Your Purpose

“If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me” (v22)

“(God) gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds, and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for building up the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11-12)

In Life Christ is Your Desire

“My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account.” (v23-24)

“We would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.” (2 Corinthians 5:8-9)
