Church Members’ Affirmation and Covenant
Affirmation
Having been led by the Spirit of God, I have received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior,
publicly confessing my faith by word and baptism. Being in agreement with the Articles of Faith and the Constitution and By-Laws of Hope Baptist Church, I now feel led by the Holy Spirit to unite with this body of believers. In doing so, I commit myself to God and to the members of this church, as we follow the example and the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to the authority of Holy Scripture.
Covenant
As a member at Hope Baptist Church, I covenant with this body of believers to:
Enjoy God
…by regularly coming together in worship, purposing to live a godly life through adoration and confession, and presenting my financial support to the service of the Lord.
Experience Growth
…by meeting together with other church members in growth groups, for mutual encouragement, Bible study, prayer and accountability.
…by fulfilling the Great Commission to share God’s grace with the unchurched, acting in love, praying for them, inviting them into my home and church, and being ready to share my testimony and the gospel with them.
Embrace People
…by serving faithfully in some type of ministry and allowing God to develop in me a servant’s heart thus revealing to me my God given gifts that equip me for service.

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
