True Disciples Testify and Witness About Jesus

“The next day, (John, the Baptist) saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (v29)

“The next day again John was standing with two of his disciples, and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, “Behold the Lamb of God!” The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus.” (v35-37)

“We have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.” (1 John 4:14)

True Disciples Seek and Follow Jesus

“Jesus turned and saw them following and said to them, “What are you seeking?” And they said to him, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are you staying?” He said to them, “Come and you will see.” So they came and saw where he was staying and they stayed with him that day.” (v38-39)

“Passing along the Sea of Galilee, Jesus saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” And immediately they left their nets and followed him.” (Mark 1:16-17)

True Disciples Invite and Bring People to Jesus

“One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means Christ). He brought him to Jesus.”(v40-42)

“And the master said to the servant, “Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.” (Luke 14:23)
