A Heart for God is Selfless
Selflessness is wise
“When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.” (Proverbs 11:2)
Selflessness is joyful
“complete my joy by . . . do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” (Philippians 2:2-4)
Selflessness is generous
“Love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return.” (Luke 6:35)
Selflessness seeks worship
“Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” (Romans 12:1)
