3) In what aspects of your life have you seen spiritual growth over the past few years? What steps do you need to take to grow closer to God today?

4) How do your actions show that you value your relationship with God? Which areas of your life do you need to change to live a godlier life?

Hebrews 5:11-6:3

Excited About Hearing God’s Truth

“. . .since you have become dull of hearing”. (v11)

“We also thank God constantly for this that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers.” (1 Thessalonians 2:13)

Examine your heart today. How enthusiastic are you about hearing from God?

Eager to Share God’s Truth

“For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God.” (v12)

“What you have heard from me, in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” (2 Timothy 2:2)

Examine your life today. How faithful are you in sharing the hope of God with others?

Earnest to Grow in God’s Truth

“You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. But solid food is for the mature.” (v12-14)

“I fed you milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it”. (1 Corinthians 3:2)

“Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow into salvation.” (1 Peter 2:2)

Examine your progress today. How much growth are you currently seeing in your relationship with God?

Experienced in Practicing God’s Truth

“But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.” (v14)

“Train yourself in godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.” (1 Timothy 4:7-8)
