Grace Redeems
“For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation for all people.” (v11)
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
“Our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness . . .” (v13-14)
Grace Reforms
“. . . training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age.” (v12)
“For those whom (God) foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son. . .”
(Romans 8:9)
“. . . and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.” (v14)
Grace Rewards
“waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” (v13)
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.”
