Scripture: Job 36-37

God is Creator  (36:27-37:13)
Do you know how God lays his command upon (the clouds) and causes the lightning of his cloud to shine? Do you know the balances of the clouds. . .” (37:15-16a)

He formed the mountains
“For behold, he who forms the mountains and creates the wind, and declares to man what is his thought, who makes the morning darkness, and treads the heights of the earth – the Lord, the God of hosts,        is his name.” (Amos 4:13)

He formed the infant
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are you works; my soul knows it very well.” (Psalm 139:13-  14)

God is All Knowing  (36:5)
“Stop and consider . . . the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge.” (37:16b)

He knows the number of hairs on your head
“Even the hairs on your head are numbered” (Matthew 10:30)

He knows the number of stars in the universe
“(God) determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names, great is our Lord and abundant in power, his understanding is beyond measure.” (Psalm 147:4-5)

God is All Powerful  (36:22-26)
God is clothed with awesome majesty. The Almighty – we cannot find him; he is great in power.” (37:22-23)

He has the power to answer prayers
“For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him.” (1 Samuel 1:27)

He has the power to save souls
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”(1 Peter 1:3-5)

 God is Just  (36:6-16)
justice and abundant righteousness he will not violate.” (37:23)

His justice is patient
“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promises as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9-10)

 His justice is gracious
“all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.” (Romans 3:23-26)
