Philippians 1:1-2

                You must be a saint in Christ Jesus

“To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi . . .” (v1)

“even as (God) chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will.” (Ephesians 1:4-5)

                You must be a servant of Christ Jesus

“Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus . . . with the overseers and deacons.” (v1)

“For he who was called in the Lord as a bondservant is a freedman of the Lord. Likewise he who was free when called is a bondservant of Christ. You were bought with a price; do not become bondservants of men.” (1 Corinthians 7:22-23)

                You must be a recipient of grace through Christ Jesus

“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ.” (v2)

“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace . . .” (Philippians 1:6-7)
