Glenn Peterson

Glenn Peterson is the lead pastor at Hope Baptist Church and has served in that capacity since 2001. As the pastor, Glenn does the majority of preaching, leads some of the small groups of the church, provides overall leadership for the church, visits the sick in the hospital, and provides godly counsel for those who seek it.

Glenn grew up in Fairfield, Connecticut – a town about 50 miles from New York City.

Glenn came to know Jesus as a freshman in high school. His parents loved Jesus and brought him to church every week. Through the influence of his parents, his church, and his youth group, Glenn came to understand his need for a Savior. One day Glenn confessed his sins to Christ and asked Jesus to lead his life.

Glenn attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received a degree in journalism while at school, but he also managed to watch Michael Jordan and the basketball team a lot while he was in school. After graduating from college, Glenn attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. He graduated from Trinity with a Master of Divinity degree.

Glenn was married to Wendy Archibald in 1991. Glenn and Wendy met while serving as missionaries with Africa Inland Mission. Glenn and Wendy have two children – Joshua and Andrew.
